Q: What disease could be prevented by a vaccine, but isn’t?
A. Varicella (Chickenpox)
B. Lyme disease
C. Shingles
D. Hepatitis A
The correct answer is B. Lyme disease
A vaccine for Lyme disease was available from 1998 to 2002. However, because of unfounded safety concerns and lack of use, it was removed from the market. Because a vaccine is no longer available, people can protect themselves by wearing protective clothing and inspecting themselves for ticks after potential exposure.
