National Museum of American History


The National Museum of American History presented Hilleman’s Vaccines: Remembering Why We Immunize Monday, October 16, 6:30-9:00 PM. The event featured HILLEMAN: A Perilous Quest to Save the World’s Children. A panel discussion after the screening, moderated by Jon Hamilton of NPR, explored how history and collective memory inform our decisions about vaccination today.

Panelists included:

Paul Offit, MD, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

Alexandra M. Lord, PhD, National Museum of American History

After the film, attendees had the opportunity to get an up-close look at vaccine-related objects from the National collections.
